Acceptable use policy

Flash STB is a media player. This policy sets out what the application may be used for, and what will cause us to withdraw your licence. It applies alongside the terms of service and the licence agreement.

1. What Flash STB is

Flash STB is client software that connects to a media source you configure and plays back what that source delivers. The application is supplied empty. It contains:

• no television channels, streams, playlists or video files;
• no preconfigured, default, suggested or bundled servers, portals or providers;
• no electronic programme guide data;
• no search, index, directory or discovery function for third-party content of any kind.

We are not a broadcaster, a content distributor, an IPTV provider, or a reseller or agent of any of those. We have no commercial relationship with any content provider, and we receive no payment, commission or other benefit from any provider whose service a user may configure.

2. Your responsibility for the content you access

You choose the source. You are solely responsible for ensuring that you hold every subscription, licence, permission or other right necessary to access and view whatever that source delivers, in the country where you are using the application.

You must not use Flash STB to access, view, record, retransmit or otherwise deal with any content that you are not authorised to access. This includes, without limitation, content obtained from a service that is itself distributing copyrighted works without the rights holder's permission.

We have no visibility of what you configure or what you watch. Playback traffic passes directly between your device and the source you entered; it does not pass through, and is not proxied, cached or logged by, our systems. That absence of visibility does not transfer your responsibility to us.

3. Prohibited uses

You must not, and must not permit anyone else to:

• use the application to access content you are not entitled to access, or to circumvent any geographic, subscription or access restriction imposed by a rights holder;
• use the application to retransmit, rebroadcast, publicly perform or commercially exploit any content;
• distribute, sell, bundle, preinstall or advertise the application together with a television service, playlist, portal or subscription of any kind;
• represent, in any listing, advertisement or communication, that Flash STB includes, supplies or grants access to television content;
• resell, sublicense, rent or transfer your activation to any other person;
• modify, decompile, reverse engineer or create derivative works from the application, except to the extent that restriction is prohibited by law;
• circumvent, disable or tamper with the demo period, subscription, licensing or device identification mechanisms;
• redistribute the application, or any package claiming to be the application, outside the official app stores through which we publish;
• use the application for any unlawful purpose, or in any way that infringes the rights of another person.

4. Resellers and bundling

We license Flash STB to end users only. We do not sell licences in bulk to television service resellers, we do not participate in arrangements where the application is supplied alongside a subscription, and we do not permit any third party to advertise our application as part of a content offering.

Where we become aware that our application is being bundled with, or marketed as part of, a television service, we will terminate the licences involved and take such further steps as are appropriate.

5. Enforcement

We may suspend or terminate any licence, without refund, where we reasonably believe this policy has been breached. Where a breach involves the infringement of a third party's rights, we may also disclose relevant activation records to that rights holder or to law enforcement, to the extent required or permitted by law.

Because we do not hold records of what any user watches, our enforcement is necessarily limited to the licensing and distribution matters described above.

6. Reporting a breach

If you believe Flash STB is being distributed, advertised or used in breach of this policy — for example bundled with a television service, or offered as a modified package — tell us at legal@digitalworldai.net. Rights holders should also see our copyright and DMCA policy.

7. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "last updated" date above, and continued use of the application after a change constitutes acceptance of it.
